Hermes Summer Fate by Kate Insley…

I made these crates for Hermes by dismantling their signature packaging boxes, I then rebuilt the box into a crate for an event Hermes held in Cornwall for buyers and loyal customers. (via)

I have been salivating over this room all week. In the words of r.zoe, I literally die

Those are not just Boots, they are Rain Level Boots designed by Regina Regis in Italia.
It actually reminds me of some flip-flop i designed i while ago for a Holiday Resort Company in South France : i designed yellow flip-flop with graduation in order to measure the distance in between balls while playing Petanque and drinking Pastis :-)

Domestic Armor (by Diane Savona)
“In ancient Japan, people would donate silk kimonos to the monasteries. These would be cut and sewn to make patch-work garments called ‘kasas’. I liked the idea of a community combining used fabrics into one cloth. Over several years, I saved potholders from many different garage sales; I sewed together the protection from many different women. Groups of women often come together to help each other, to provide emotional support. Of course, you must believe in and live by the values of this group. If you outgrow the values of your group, their emotional reinforcement can start to seem rather heavy, like the weighty protection of this armor. “
